"Trust in the Lord with all your heart" (Proverbs 3:5)
It's about time I share to you the true story behind my job interview...
Well, most of my housemates know that I attended here and there a lot ofJob Interviews. To a record, if I'm not mistaken, I attended 10 interviews..all of them I failed during the final interview.
What seems to be wrong?
Well, I did not put my trust in God that he would give me the job. This happen whenI wasn't able to qualify as a College Teacher at Pangasinan State University.
I know I have the heart to teach. But after that failure, although I attended some interviews, my heart still is in focus of that failure. I thought that if you"delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart",why is it then that He didn't give the thing that i wanted?
Then came a big realization. Before, I just say in my prayer "Lord, if this job is your will, let it be done". What seems to be wrong? Though I trust God in this aspect, I did not ask for help.
Asking for help is an indication that you are entrusting your life to someone and admitting that you cannot do it alone. In the first place, why ask for a help if you don't trust the person at all? That was one of God's revelation to me; that although I sound like trusting him, deep inside my heart, I really don't.
So right after that revelation, I immediately changed my prayer into "Lord, help me to get this job for you." What happened was a too quick response. I send my application letter by Sunday, received an invitation to undergo interview by monday, and immediately got the job by tuesday.
What an unexpected thing! That's just one of the miracles God can do if you really have trust in him.
So, why trust tomorrow if you can trust Him NOW?

I never thought I'd feel this way! It's not that I was so depressed (again). I'm feeling jealous... not of someone... but of something!!!
As the eldest son in our family, I've always been not the center of attention. It's quite normal that family members rely on their eldest, in terms of academic performance, job earnings, decision making (especially of the eldest just turned 18) and even character building of the rest of their siblings.
I've always lived into my own principles and decisions eversince my father died to the point that i even tried to hide every anxieties, loneliness and heartaches I'm feeling. Not until I found a BS leader in the person ofKuya RON.
He knew I've always longing for a father-figure; someone who would beat my butt ("papaluin sa puwet"), who would discipline me and would rebuke me for all the wrong things I've done. But behind those disciplinary actions I received, lies a soft-hearted father who would always give his shoulder to cry on.
Yup, I cry! Those times when I could hardly meet the expectations of my family, the times when I'm so down spiritually and during that time I have to fix my broken heart.
I said, I just found a new father in his image. Only to realize that things in this world are not permanent. They do come, yet they would come a time that they have to leave.
I'm not jealous of those persons who still have their father. But I'm jealous o fthe attention a son recieves from his father.
I know we all have our Father (in heaven) who's always there for us. But sometimes, as a human (i don't want to put some of my limitations as a human, but i always feel so) we do need a person; a Father-figure.
I just missed those times..... I just hope I could find a new one.....

I just don't know why I was the one appointed to go to Drugmaker'sLab., Inc. to the QC (quality control or simply quality check) and pick-upthe stuffs of agrochemicals. Doing the QC is not a problem since i'm an AgChemgraduate. But to do a bsuiness trip without any "experienced person in the company"accompanying me is a big problem. Looks like I have to surpass gigantic obstacles inmeeting bosses of the said company.
Until I finally learned the reason behind it; God allowed me to experience a realityin this world.
Transacting business is quite difficult for a person like me who is just "new" in thecompany. With less than one month in the job, I don't think I would be productive in thisbusiness trip.
We arrived there almost 10:30 (april 5), only to found out that our contact person is onan emergency meeting. Sadly, we have to wait until the meeting is over. Finally, ourcontact approached me, he told me that we will have to wait unti 12:30 because it is alreadytheir lunchbreak. I just said, "thank god, we could still have our lunch"
"ok, no big deal", I said. We would just take our lunch. Only to fpund out that we are gettingcloser to a great revelation.
We are expecting at least 3 to 4 meals in their canteen, but, vola! It's just a single meal. The canteen is meant for their contract workers; those persons who were getting minimun wage in their company beacuase they were unale to finish a degree (I don't want to call them "less fortunate" since I don't believe in fortune anyways). Their only meal is 2 to 3 cups of rice with a single serving of fried egg and hotdog bits. No more, no less!
As if we (our driver and "kargador" do have time to go to a fast food chain because it would takeus 30 minutes to travel at the nearest fast food. So we ate with them.
What i realized about this trip are the following; there are still people out there trying hard for just a minimum wage just to survive in this world while i'm in a company planning to buy my very own mp3 player next month; I used to "sour-grape" with God in the midst of my job application (the fact that I need to undergo at least 10 job interviews until finally I could get a job) while here are those individuals just satisfied being called as "contract worker". I used to search for a comapny who could give me at least 10,000 salary while here are these workers contented with their 6,500 or less monthly (i'm not sure if they are contented with it).
This business trip taught me not to transact a good business relations nor how to perform a good QC in my job. Instead, this trip taught me to value the things I have in my life now that others don't have!!!

THIS IS A REALLY COOL STORY.
GONNA GIVE YOU GOOSE BUMPS.
A young university student was home for the summer. She had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared her various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away.
As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her.
She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, and she felt as though someone was walking with her.
When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely.
The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there.
Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety, and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. <>The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed.
The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they could ask the man one question ... Diane was curious as to why the man had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, Because she wasn't alone... She had two tall men walking on either side of her."
Moral of the story: Don't underestimate the power of Prayer!
Gives ya goose bumps, doesn't it?!

I just arrived from a very tiring trip from jefcor laboratoriesand FTI in taguig. I arrived at our office around 5:30 pm, hoping that afterdoing a report on our trip, I could go home and take a rest. Then, our teamleader (Ian) said, "ok guys... we will WORK OVERTIME!"
Goodness! Did i hear it right? OVERTIME???
I didn't expect that after that rush trip, I won't be able to get a rest. Instead, I would have to devote more time in the office just to finish some tasks.
It's my first job, just my 3rd week in the company....and now, I will have to work overtime. Just to have enough energy to work for the wee hours, Ian invited the team to a HEAVY DINNER at SM southmall.
As of the moment (10:30 pm), we are just half-finished of the tasks to be done.I just hope that I would still have enough energy to finish everything.
